School Development Priorities

Our School Development Priorities are updated regularly by the Senior Leadership Team and the Governing Board. As outlined in our Mission Statement, we strive for excellence in everything we do and that means always looking for ways to improve outcomes for our children and families, our school environment and offer to the local community.

Our three main areas of focus this academic year are:

  1. Attendance and Behaviour: improve overall attendance and reduce persistent absence
  2. Achievement: raise attainment and progress in reading, writing and maths.
  3. Personal development and wellbeing: develop the whole child and their ability to contribute to the community, thrive and succeed

We value our families as partners in supporting us to achieve our aims and maintain high expectations for all of our children. It is so helpful when families respond to feedback requests, which gives us a clear understanding of our strengths and areas for development from their perspective.

School Grounds

This year we are further developing our playground to provide more active learning, sensory, role play and quiet activity options for children.

Developments include:

  • table tennis
  • den building
  • a reading shed
  • dressing up
  • digging area
  • fairy garden

Look out for photographs on our school Facebook page!

Renovations have also been made to our EYFS garden this year with new all weather surfacing, digging areas and equipment.

Resource Base Provision

In 2025 we developed our EYFS/KS1 Resource base provision by changing it to full time provision for children with complex speech, language and communication needs, rather than the dual placement provision in place previously. As part of this development we also increased the number of places available from 7 to 10, meaning that we can meet the needs of more children in our fantastic setting.

The KS2 Resource Base was also expanded from 10 to 16 places due to the ongoing high demand for places. This provision is also for children with complex speech, language and communication needs.

Accessibility

More accessible parking near to the main entrance has been installed along with a new electronic sign-in system and a change of entry/exit point for our KS2 Resource Base children to support families with drop off and pick up arrangements.

Wraparound Care

In January 2026 we were so excited to launch our new Wraparound Care. Following feedback from parents to guage the need for this provision, recruitment was carried out and our brand new afterschool club opened its doors. Children are loving spending time with their friends after school playing games, dancing, enjoying craft activities and much more!

We Respect. We LearnWe Are Happy.
