Early Years Curriculum
At The Brow Community Primary School, we recognise that children learn and develop in different ways and at different rates. We value all areas of learning equally and understand that they are interconnected. While the EYFS framework encompasses seven areas of learning and development, the three prime areas are particularly important in fostering curiosity, enthusiasm for learning, positive relationships and children's capacity to thrive.
Through our curriculum, we provide a rich range of activities, play, teaching and experiences that help every child learn, develop and thrive. Our curriculum is a holistic and ambitious plan that sets out what we want children to learn and experience across all seven areas of learning in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
Through carefully planned, ambitious and progressive learning opportunities, we support children to become successful, independent, confident and responsible learners. We inspire them to communicate their ideas, talk about their learning, and develop the independence and self-management skills needed for future success.
Our bespoke curriculum is designed to meet the needs of our children and reflect the families within our school community. It broadens children's experiences, builds their knowledge and skills, and evolves in response to their interests and development.
