Healthy Eating and Drinking
At our school, we promote healthy eating as an important part of every child’s wellbeing and development. We encourage pupils to make balanced food choices, understand nutrition, and develop positive eating habits that will last a lifetime. Through lessons, activities, and our school meals, children learn the importance of fruits, vegetables, and staying hydrated, helping them to stay focused, energised, and ready to learn each day.
All children are asked to bring a named water bottle to school each day, containing water for them to drink throughout the day.

You can find a copy of our Healthy Eating and Drinking Policy below and on our policy page.
In 2026 we joined the School's Pledge Programme. The School's Pledge for a Healthy and Active Future is a program developed by Health Equalities Group (HEG) and partners, funded by NHS Cheshire and Merseyside. It provides a structures framework for schools in the North West of England to improve pupil health by focusing on 9 core commitments, including healthier eating, increased physical activity and overall wellbeing. We held our launch event in the Spring term which was well attended by parents and carers. The children shared lots of amazing ideas to help us to meet our targets.
