Welcome to our class page. Here you will find the information you need about what it is like to be a pupil in Class 6.

Summer Term 2
Curriculum
This term we will be using the following books as the stimulus for our English lessons:

In Maths we will be applying what we have learned this year to solve problems in different contexts.
This half term our P.E. days are Wednesday and Thursday. We will be developing our skills in tennis and athletics. We will also be improving our swimming skills on Fridays.

In Science we are exploring the question, 'are all sunglasses as safe as each other?'

In History we are learning about who should go on the £10 banknote.


In Computing we are learning about sensing; in Music we are learning to compose a leavers' song; in Spanish we are learning about Ancient Maya; in art we are learning about photomontage and in DT we are learning to design a textile bag; in R.E. we are learning about Hajj and in PSHE we are learning about safety and the changing body.

Homework:
Homework will be set digitally on SATs Companion. It will be set on a Friday to be completed by the following Thursday. We also expect the children to read at home for at least ten minutes five days per week and encourage them to sign their reading records each time they read. We keep a record of home reads and children are rewarded for their efforts.
