Autumn Term 1

 Curriculum

This term we will be enjoying the following books in our English lessons:

In Maths we will be learning about Place Value and Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication and Division.

In Science we are learning about how we see things.

In History we are finding out the battles that were fought in World War Two and their impact.

In Computing we are learning about communication, in Music we are learning about dynamics, pitch and tempo and in Spanish we are learning to talk the daily life of a superhero. In P.S.H.E. we are learning about family and relationships.

In R.E. we are thinking about the question, "What do we mean by a good life?"

In Art this half term we will be making our voices heard and in Design Technology we will be designing and making automata toys.

This half term in P.E. we are developing our skills in Swimming and Netball.

P.E. kits will be needed on TBC.

Swimming kit and towels will be needed on Fridays.

Homework:

Homework will be set digitally on SATs Companion. It will be set on a Wednesday to be completed by Monday. We also expect the children to read at home for at least ten minutes five days per week and encourage them to sign their reading records each time they read. We keep a record of home reads and children are rewarded for their efforts.
