Curriculum 

This is what a week in Class 3 looks like:

Autumn Term 1

Curriculum

This term we will be using the following books as stimulus for our English lessons.

In Maths we will be learning about place value within 1,000 and addition and subtraction.

This half term our P.E. days are on Monday and Tuesday. On Monday we will be learning about dodgeball and on Tuesday we will be learning about tag rugby.

In Science we are learning about movement and nutrition.

In Geography we will explore the question, 'Why do people live near volcanoes?'

In Computing we are learning about connecting computers; in Music we are exploring pitch through musical mountains, combining steps and leaps to create a unique melody; in Spanish we are learning how to greet people and make introductions; in Art we are developing our shading skills and drawing techniques to create botanical-inspired digital drawings and in DT we are exploring how 3D shell structures are created from nets, investigating their use in packaging and applying this understanding to create original designs; in RE we are exploring beliefs, values and religious traditions and in PSHE we are learning about taking care of our minds and bodies.

Homework:

For children in Class 3, homework is TT Rockstars and Spelling Shed for a few minutes each day. All homework completion will be rewarded with Praise Points.
