Tigers are the largest wild cats in the world. Tigers are good swimmers .Tigers are carnivores,eating only meat. Tigers are solitary hunters,and generally search for food alone at night.They have black stripes and orange fur.They have very sharp claws.

Are the Tigers nearly extinct?

Tigers are nearly extinct. There habitat has been destroyed,degraded,and fragmented by human activities.Several factors contribute to tigers being endangered.

One of the species of the tiger that is in danger of extinction

The javan tigers 65-85cm tall .The javan tigers went extinct between the 1950 - 1980 It usually had long and thin stripes,which slightly more numerous than those of the sumatran tiger.

Why are the tigers are nearly extinct

Tigers need a lot of room.There solitary animals that wander many kilometers a day in search of food.people are killing them for there bones and skin to make wine and rugs or blankets.

How can we help

We can protest telling them to stop killing the tigers.We can protect tigers and protect their habitat .Reduce human -tiger conflict. We can adopt a baby one.
