Hello again,

The children in blogging club have been writing all about the exciting events at The Brow CP that are linked to the Platinum Jubilee celebrations. Read on to find out more about what has been happening this week...

Mrs Williams

Queen Elizabeth II

Meet the Man Who Will Light Up the World for Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee | PEOPLE.comThis week we have been finding out all about Queen Elizabeth because we are celebrating her Platinum Jubilee. Queen Elizabeth has been on the throne for 70 years. She is now 96 years old. I think it has been too noisy this week because the school has been packed full of people. Everyone was too excited about the events in school.

Learning in the classroom

Hi again,

Today I'm going to  tell you about what everyone has been doing in class. Everyone has been celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. Each class has been learning about a different decade in the Queen’s reign. We've been doing different decades like the 1970s and 1980s. I have had fun learning about the 1970s. I have learnt that If you needed to fix your tv in the1970s, you used the antenna.

Celebrations at The Brow CP

Sadly, we could not do our lovely picnic outside due to the bad weather. We also had our children’s parents come in and do the activites with their children around all the different classes. In the office and the hall, there were souvenirs such as food, toys, badges and stationery. In the evening, children could choose to go with their grownups or stay with their teachers and clean up until their parents come. The children enjoyed the picnic a lot and we all hope we can do some more celebrations like this one in the future.

A lot of our children were upset because we couldn't do our picnic outside but everybody was pleased with how it turned out.

During the party, there were loads of activities such as flag-making, paper plate painting, rock painting, bookmark making and colouring.

Some children’s parents let their children go off with their friends and enjoy whatever activity they want. All the activities were so much fun. All the children left with smiles on their faces.
